Driver Hire Preston recently supported a fundraising day organised by one of their key customers, the UK’s leading pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare distributor and wholesaler, Alliance Healthcare.
“Their local depot had organised a ‘fun day’ with loads of activities for parents and kids,” says Trevor Bashford, Operations Director at Driver Hire Preston. “Despite not being blessed with the best of weather, over £1,600 was raised for Alliance Healthcare’s official charity, the ‘European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer’, (EORTC)”
John Leyland, Fleet and Transport Manager at Alliance Healthcare’s Preston Service Centre added: “Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer, so the funds raised today are essential in the fight against this disease. Special thanks to Driver Hire for their generous addition to the total raised.”
