An online poll has been launched today to find out how transport operators plan to check their drivers’ licences, following the abolition of the paper counterpart on 8th June 2015.
The survey is being run by Commercial Motor, the UK’s leading transport industry news source, in association with dh Licence Check, and can be found at www.commercialmotor.com.
“Making sure that their people are qualified to drive and hold a valid licence is a legal obligation for any organisation that has people driving for business purposes,” says Tony Goacher of dh Licence Check. “The abolition of the counterpart is a major change for the transport industry, since many people have relied on a visual check of the paper licence until now.
“Finding a new way of checking licences needs to be a big priority for people in this industry at the moment, and we are really interested to find out how people plan to go about it.”
