Lord Mayor joins Driver Hire Gloucester’s Celebrations

Leading local transport and logistics recruitment company, Driver Hire Gloucester, is moving to new premises and celebrating nearly 15 years in business. Driver Hire’s new home is in Pullman Court, Great Western Road.  

Commenting on the move, owner of Driver Hire Gloucester, Neil Richardson, said: “We’re delighted with the move. Our new premises are modern, open plan and in a really thriving area of the city. The Driver Hire Gloucester team are looking forward to continuing to meet our customers’ staffing needs around the clock, 365 days a year.”

Since Neil bought the business in 2006, turnover at the recruitment company has increased by 200%. The office is currently on course to hit sales in excess of £1m for the sixth year in succession, regularly finding work for around 40-50 people a week. The business also offers industry essential Driver Certificate of Professional Competence training which adds to local workforce skills.

To celebrate the occasion Councillor Colin Organ, Lord Mayor of Gloucester was present along with Will Salkeld from the Road Haulage Association.

Commenting on the move and Driver Hire’s fifteenth year in business, Colin said: “It’s a real pleasure to be asked to conduct the official opening of Driver Hire’s new office. Neil and the team have had over a decade of success. The service they provide helps keep the wheels of local transport & logistics companies rolling. Driver Hire Gloucester and other similar sized SMEs (Small & Medium Sized Enterprises) are the lifeblood of our local economy. I wish Neil and his team all the best in their new home.”
