Yard Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver

Location: Congleton
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00
Pay Rate: £13.25 per hour, increasing to £13.50 per hour after 12 weeks

Driver Hire are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Yard Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver based in Congleton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual looking for a varied role that combines yard duties, forklift work, and occasional van deliveries across the North West.

The Role

Your duties will include:

• Operating an FLT Counterbalance truck safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Moving stock and materials around the yard
• Preparing orders for dispatch
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Carrying out stock checks and general yard duties
• Completing occasional deliveries in a company van to customers across the North West

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A valid FLT Counterbalance licence
• A full UK driving licence
• Previous experience working in a yard, warehouse, or similar environment
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
