💷 Pay: £13.25/hr accrued holiday pay or £14.85/hr advanced holiday pay
📅 Job Type: Full-time | Ongoing (Temp to perm – 12 weeks)
⏰ Hours: Monday to Friday
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, is practical and reliable, and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
The Role
As a Yard Person, your duties will include:
- General upkeep and organisation of the yard
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Moving equipment and materials around the yard
- Preparing equipment for hire and return
- Checking equipment for damage, cleanliness and general condition
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment
- Assisting with deliveries and collections when required
- Keeping the yard clean, tidy and safe
- Supporting the wider team with general yard duties
- Following all company health & safety procedures
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience working in a yard, warehouse or similar environment
- Forklift experience would be preferred but is not essential
- A practical, hands-on approach to work
- Good awareness of health & safety
- The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A reliable and hardworking attitude
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
