Driver Hire Dundee is recruiting a Waste Operative to join our customer’s busy recycling centre in Arbroath. This is an ongoing role with consistent weekly shifts and a great opportunity to work in a supportive, community-focused environment.
The Role
As a Waste Operative, you’ll be the friendly face greeting members of the public as they arrive at the recycling centre. Your responsibilities include:
- Directing the public to the correct recycling bays
- Providing guidance on where items should be disposed of
- Keeping the site tidy and safe
- Offering excellent customer service at all times
You’ll be working 5 shifts per week, following a two-week rotating pattern:
- Week 1: Mon, Tue, Wed, Sat, Sun
- Week 2: Mon to Fri
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable, friendly, and confident communicating with the public
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Happy to be on your feet and active throughout the shift
- Previous waste/recycling or outdoor work experience is helpful but not essential
