Driver Hire Southampton are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join a successful and growing business based in the Winchester area.
Our client is an established supplier and distributor of cleaning, hygiene and janitorial products, supplying businesses across a wide range of sectors. Their product range includes cleaning chemicals, PPE, paper products, gloves, waste sacks, cleaning equipment and other janitorial supplies.
The Role
Working as part of a busy warehouse team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day handling, storage and movement of stock, helping to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Checking incoming stock
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Moving stock around the warehouse
- Putting stock away into the correct locations
- Loading vehicles for dispatch
- Carrying out stock checks and maintaining stock accuracy
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
- Following all health & safety procedures
- Working as part of a team to meet daily targets
- Supporting other areas of the warehouse when required
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous warehouse experience
- A reliable and hardworking attitude
- Good attention to detail
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Experience with picking, packing and goods-in would be advantageous
- Forklift licence/experience is desirable but not essential
- A willingness to undertake a hands-on role
What’s on Offer?
- £28,000 – £30,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
- Overtime available
- Temp-Perm Position
