Driver Hire Chelmsford and Harlow are currently recruiting for an experienced Telehandler Driver / Labourer to join a busy and reputable construction project based in Saffron Walden.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking long-term, stable work with the security of ongoing projects already confirmed on an adjacent site once the initial phase is completed.
The Role
You will be working as part of a professional on-site team, responsible for supporting daily site operations and ensuring materials are delivered safely and efficiently across the project.
Location – Saffron Walden
Start Date: 25th May
Pay £13.00 per hour excluding holiday pay
Pay£14.56 per hour including holiday pay
Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per day
Long-term opportunity – up to 80+ weeks across two neighbouring sites
Main Duties:
- Operating the telehandler safely and efficiently on site
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials
- Supplying trades with materials around the site
- Carrying out daily equipment and safety checks
- Assisting with light labouring duties when required
- Maintaining high health & safety standards at all times
Requirements:
- Valid Telehandler Card (CPCS preferred but not essential, NPORS accepted)
- Previous experience working on construction sites
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Good understanding of site health & safety
- Flexible attitude and willingness to support the wider team
