About the Role:
As a Road Surveyor Driver, you’ll be responsible for driving along pre-assigned routes while using onboard equipment to identify, log, and report potholes and other road surface defects. Your work will support essential maintenance decisions and improve travel for thousands of road users. This role requires staying away 4 nights a week in a hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive survey vehicle on scheduled routes in urban and rural areas
Operate and monitor road scanning and GPS equipment
Record accurate data on potholes and road surface issues
Conduct basic vehicle checks and ensure equipment is functioning properly
Adhere to all health and safety, traffic, and survey protocols
Requirements:
Full UK Driving Licence (clean preferred)
Good observational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable with early starts and long periods of driving
Tech-savvy and able to operate basic survey equipment or tablets
Punctual, dependable, and safety-minded
Willing to stay away up to 4 nights a week
