🚛 Looking for a role that could become permanent?
Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting a Van Driver for a well-established removals and relocation company based in Edinburgh.
This is a 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity. You will work through Driver Hire for your first 12 weeks, with the opportunity to then be taken on permanently by our client.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: A valid DBS check is required for this position. Please only apply if you already hold a valid DBS check or are able to obtain one.
The company specialises in domestic and commercial removals, helping customers move their belongings safely and efficiently. You’ll be part of a friendly team, working at different customer locations across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
📦 The Role
- Monday to Friday working
- 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity
- Driving a company van to customer locations
- Loading and unloading furniture and personal belongings
- Safely transporting customers’ items
- Completing collections and deliveries on time
- Working as part of a team
- Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
- Some physical and manual handling involved
💷 Pay Rates
PAYE
- £13.00 per hour
- £17.32 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
- £14.57 per hour
- £19.42 per hour after 8 hours
✅ What We’re Looking For
- A valid DBS check – REQUIRED
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous van driving experience preferred
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable with physical and manual work
- Positive and flexible approach
- Someone looking for a role with the potential to become permanent
