Driver Hire Winchester is currently recruiting for a Production / Assembly Technician on behalf of our client based in Winchester. Our client specialises in the manufacture of high-quality lighting systems, and this role would suit a technically skilled individual with experience in soldering, wiring, and mechanical assembly who thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out soldering and wiring to a high standard
- Complete basic mechanical assembly, including drilling and cutting aluminium
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Perform cable wiring, crimping, and soldering tasks
- Test products and carry out production inspections
- Work to tight deadlines while maintaining excellent quality standards
- Communicate effectively with team members
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum of 2 years’ hand soldering experience (essential)
- At least 2 years’ professional assembly experience
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure
- Good written and verbal communication skills
The Package
- Competitive salary of £28,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience)
- 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
- Additional annual leave awarded for each year of service
