Minibus Administrator (Part-Time, Flexible Hours)

Location: Chislehurst, Bromley – South East London & Kent
Job Type: Part-Time
Salary: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and organised Minibus Administrator to support our school transport service. This hybrid role combines relief driving duties with essential administrative responsibilities, including route planning, staff coordination, and parent communication. Key Responsibilities

Driving Duties:

  • Safely operate a minibus to transport students aged 11–18 to and from school
  • Maintain a friendly and professional attitude with students, parents, and staff
  • Follow scheduled routes and adapt to changing requirements
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and compliant with safety standards

Administrative Duties:

  • Coordinate daily schedules and routes for a fleet of 10+ minibuses
  • Liaise with parents, staff, and drivers to ensure smooth transport operations
  • Maintain accurate records of driver availability, vehicle maintenance, and student pick-up/drop-off points
  • Respond to queries and resolve transport-related issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with compliance checks and ensure all drivers meet safety and licensing standards

Requirements

  • Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record
  • Proven experience in minibus driving or transport coordination
  • Strong knowledge of South East London and Kent routes
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Comfortable using basic office software (e.g., Excel, email, scheduling tools)
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on scheduling needs
