Machine Operator – CNC

Location: Sandbach
Pay: £13.00 – £16.25 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Overtime available

Driver Hire Crewe are currently recruiting for Machine Operators with some previous CNC experience to join a well-established local manufacturing company.

This is a great opportunity for someone who already has some basic experience operating machinery and is looking to develop their skills further. Full training will be provided, so you don’t need to be an experienced CNC setter or programmer.

Working Hours

You will initially work on the day shift while completing your training:

• Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
• Friday: 07:30 – 12:30

Once your initial training has been completed, you will move onto shift work.

Pay Rates

• Training shift: £13.00 per hour
• 06:00 – 14:00 Shift: £14.63 per hour
• 14:00 – 22:00 Shift: £16.25 per hour
• Overtime available

The Role

As a Machine Operator, you will be working within a busy manufacturing environment, operating CNC machinery and helping to ensure products are manufactured safely and to the required standards.

Your duties will include:

• Operating CNC machinery
• Loading and unloading machines
• Carrying out basic machine checks
• Monitoring production and product quality
• Following drawings, instructions and production requirements
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area
• Completing additional training as required

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to be a fully trained CNC machinist, but you must have some previous experience operating machinery.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has basic CNC machine operating experience
• Is willing to learn and undertake further training
• Is comfortable working within a manufacturing environment
• Can work accurately and follow instructions
• Is happy to move onto the 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00 shift pattern once trained
• Is reliable and looking for ongoing work
