HGV Class 2 ADR (Packages) Driver – Long-Term Ongoing Role
Cranbrook, Kent
£18.85-21.13 per hour | Overtime £28.28-31.69 per hour
Driver Hire Ashford & Tonbridge are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Class 2 ADR (Packages) Driver based in Cranbrook.
This is a long-term sickness cover position, with work expected to continue until January 2027. If you’re looking for regular hours, excellent rates of pay and a long-term opportunity with a well-established company, we’d love to hear from you.
Newly qualified ADR licence holders are encouraged to apply – previous ADR driving experience is not required, as full training will be provided.
Working Hours
- 42.5 hours per week
- 6:00am starts, Monday to Friday
- Some Saturday work required
- Overtime paid after 42.5 hours
Pay & Benefits
- £18.85-21.13 per hour
- Overtime paid at £28.28-31.69 per hour

What You’ll Need
- HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- ADR (Packages) licence
- A minimum of 90 days’ HGV driving experience within the last 12 months (insurance requirement)
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No DD or DR convictions within the last year
Your Responsibilities
- Complete multi-drop deliveries of gas cylinders to residential and commercial customers, including rural locations
- Carry out manual handling as part of your daily duties
- Deliver excellent customer service at every delivery point
- Work safely, professionally and in line with all company procedures and transport legislation
