Driver Hire Edinburgh West – HGV Class 1 Drivers Wanted

💷 Pay: £15.00 per hour
🕒 Work Type: Ad Hoc / Casual / Part-Time

Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver looking for flexible work and varied assignments without the commitment of a permanent position? Driver Hire Edinburgh West is recruiting reliable, safety-focused drivers to support our clients across West Lothian on an ad hoc basis.

What We’re Looking For:

Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence

CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
-
Minimum of 1 year’s Class 1 driving experience (essential)

No more than 6 points for minor offences
(No IN, DD, DR or CD endorsements) -
Confident communication and customer service skills

Sound knowledge of driver hours and transport regulations
-
A professional, adaptable, and positive approach
Typical Duties Include:
-
Trunking work, trailer swaps, and long-distance A–B runs
-
General haulage and pallet network operations
-
Deliveries and collections across various sectors

Loading and unloading where required
-
Completing vehicle checks and maintaining safety compliance
