The Role
Our client is a well-established removals company based in RH Postal Code and is looking to recruit an HGV Class 2 Removals Driver to join their growing team.
This is a hands-on role. It is not just driving. You will be actively involved in loading, unloading, packing, and delivering household and commercial removals, working closely with a small crew to ensure moves run smoothly and customers receive a professional service from start to finish.
Some days will be straightforward. Others will be tight staircases, awkward access, and long hours. That’s the nature of removals. If you’re practical, calm under pressure, and don’t mind mucking in, you’ll fit in well.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly in line with road traffic laws
- Loading and unloading vehicles, including heavy furniture and fragile items
- Ensuring items are packed, protected, and secured correctly
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Maintaining a professional and courteous manner with customers at all times
About You
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence
- Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
- Previous removals experience is strongly preferred
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours
- Good communication skills and a customer focused attitude
- Calm, practical, and able to problem solve on site
