Driver Hire Stockport are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our team and work for one of our clients. This job role involves operating a bin lorry and working as part of a crew to carry out local waste collection services based in Stockport.
The role is working Monday to Friday 06.45am starts. Please note that you may be required to help the loaders depending on the work load.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving a refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently
- Working alongside loaders to complete daily routes
- Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Ensuring all collections are completed in line with schedules
- Maintaining a high standard of health & safety at all times
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous experience in refuse or similar driving work is preferred
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and punctual
Hours & Pay:
- Start time: 06.45AM.
- Monday to Friday ( Bank holidays work is available also)
- Starts at £15.35 per hour. After 13 weeks the rate will increase to £16.35 per hour
- If you choose to have your holidays paid upfront the rate will be £17.20ph or £18.20ph after 13 weeks.
