Driver Hire Grimsby & Scunthorpe is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers on behalf of one of the region’s leading food distribution businesses.
This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a professional Class 2 driver looking to join a well-established company with a strong reputation and the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful qualifying period.
The Role
As a Class 2 Multi-Drop Driver, your duties will include:
- Delivering chilled and ambient food products to commercial customers
- Multi-drop deliveries across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and surrounding areas
- Carrying out vehicle checks and completing delivery paperwork
- Providing excellent customer service at every delivery
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on time
- Some manual handling as part of the role
Working Hours
- Tuesday to Saturday
- 37.5 hours per week
- Early morning starts
- Overtime may be available
Pay
- £15.00 per hour
- Weekly pay through Driver Hire during the temporary period
Requirements
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Full HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum of 6 penalty points (No DD, DR or IN endorsements)
- Aged 25 or over for insurance purposes
- Previous Class 2 multi-drop delivery experience preferred
- Good knowledge of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A reliable, professional and flexible approach to work
