Every week, Driver Hire Birmingham East find consistent but flexible work for hundreds of drivers, across a variety of industries, ranging from general haulage, timber, pallet delivery and bakery products. We don’t require anyone to give up their weekends as work is Monday to Friday if requested. However, some weekends are available for those who want them.
Salary: £16.40 per hour
Location: East of Birmingham
Work Pattern: Full time, contract, temporary, or part-time to suit
Driver Hire, the UK’s largest specialist transport and logistics recruitment company have been engaged by several major European companies to fulfil their permanent and ad-hoc/driver cover requirements. We are therefore currently seeking several HGV Class 2 Drivers for various roles and contract terms (to suit you) in and around Birmingham – roles commutable for drivers in Bickenhill, Marston Green, Shirley, Solihull, and Tyseley.
HGV Class 2 Driver responsibilities:
• Maintaining regular contact with Transport/Branch Managers on daily progress
• Securing loads, understanding height restrictions and legal height limits
• Driving vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
• Daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance
• Completing paperwork accurately as instructed
HGV Class 2 Driver requirements:
• No more than 6 points (No DD’s, DR’s, IN’s, TT’s)
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Full UK Driving licence, held for 1 year
• Cat-C Licence (HGV Class 2)
HGV Class 2 Driver Benefits:
• Weekly pay paid PAYE by BACS Transfer
