Class 2 HGV Drivers Wanted In The SK Postcode Area
Driver Hire Stockport is currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) drivers to work for a variety of our clients across the SK postcode.
With over 50 years of supplying drivers to customers across Stockport, we have built strong relationships with a wide range of loyal clients, allowing us to offer regular work week after week. We have opportunities available Monday to Friday, as well as part-time work for drivers looking for more flexible hours.

Duties of our HGV Driver includes:
- Driving the HGV vehicle safely and responsibly while complying with all road traffic legislation.
- Carrying out thorough daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Maintaining regular communication with branch managers regarding your daily progress.
- Completing all paperwork accurately and timely.
To be considered, you’ll need:
- A full UK driving licence.
- A valid HGV Category C (Class 2) licence.
- A valid Driver CPC qualification.
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- No DD, DR, IN or TT endorsements.
- A preferred 6 months’ relevant HGV driving experience.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines.
Pay Rates:
Paid weekly via PAYE
HGV Class 2 Driver:
- £16.81 per hour – Minimum 8 hours paid
- £22.06 per hour – After 8 hours
These rates include holiday pay. If you prefer to accrue holiday separately, the rates become:
- £15.00 per hour- Minimum 8 hours paid
- £19.68 per hour- After 8 hours
