HGV Class 1 HIAB Driver – Unlimited Ticket Required*

Driver Hire Bedford & Huntingdon is recruiting for a long-standing, family-orientated construction client who is looking for a driver with a Class 1 Unlimited HIAB licence.

The Role
You’ll be delivering temporary accommodation units to construction sites across the region for a well-established, family-run construction business. The work is varied, regional (no nights away), and team-based:
– Driving the HGV to site, working as part of a convoy — never on your own, always with backup
– Operating the lorry-mounted HIAB crane to load and unload units on site
– Working alongside a small, friendly team of drivers and site staff

Pay & Benefits
– £20 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay) while on temp-to-perm — that’s a realistic £46,000+ per year at standard hours, before overtime

What We Need From You
– HGV Class 1 (C+E) — full UK manual
– Valid CPC and Tacho card
– No more than 6 points on your licence
– Strong customer service and communication skills — you’ll be on customer sites every day
– Comfortable with manual handling alongside crane-assisted lifting
– Class 1 Unlimited HIAB ticket
– A genuine interest in building a long-term career with one employer

– Pay: £20/hr (incl. holiday pay) — temp-to-perm
