Driver Hire Stockport is currently recruiting for a number of HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to work for a variety of our clients across the SK postcode.
We have work available Monday- Friday so whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time hours, we have the flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
Duties of this HGV Driver will include:
- Driving the HGV Class 1 vehicle responsibly, obeying all traffic laws.
- Carrying out required daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance.
- Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress.
- Completing paperwork accurately as instructed.
The Successful HGV Driver must have:
- A Full UK driving licence.
- A Cat CE Licence (HGV Class 1 Driver)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No DD’s, DR’s, IN’s, TT’s endorsements.
- 6 months relevant driving experience (preferred)
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
What you can expect:
- Flexible shifts – start times typically between 5:00am and 8:00am
- Varied assignments including: General Haulage, Flatbed work, Day and Night shifts
- We work with roughly 50 local clients on a weekly basis.
- We are more than happy to accommodate drivers looking for either ad-hoc, part-time, or full-time work.

Pay Rates:
PAID WEEKLY VIA PAYE
£17.59ph– Minimum 8 hours paid
£23.53ph- Paid after 8 hours
This rate of pay has holidays accrual included within the hourly rate, if you wish to accrue these separately then this rate will become £15.70ph and £21ph overtime.
