Driver Hire Hemel & Watford are currently looking to recruit a an experienced HGV Driver, with Category C entitlement on a Monday – Friday basis in Aylesbury.
There is a minimum of 8 hours pay per shift starting at £20 per hour.
Overtime is paid after 8 hours worked. These rates are paid on a Umbrella model.
Shifts – Start times from 6:30am.
Suitable candidates will have the following:
A full and valid UK driving licence, with CAT C entitlement.
No more than 6 points (minor offences only).
Current and valid CPC and Digi-Tacho cards.
Previous HGV driving experience (Minimum 6 months)
Appropriate PPE (Safety Shoes & Hi-viz).
Responsibilities:
– Safely and efficiently operate a truck to transport goods to designated locations
– Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
– Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
– Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding transportation, safety, and delivery protocols
Skills:
– Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
– Good communication skills for interacting with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers on the road
