Class 1 HGV Driver – Flatbed Steel Deliveries – Accrington

Are you an experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver looking for ongoing, reliable work in Accrington?

Driver Hire Blackburn is recruiting a professional and safety-conscious Class 1 Flatbed Driver to join one of our long-standing clients, delivering steel products throughout the North West and beyond.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driver with previous flatbed or steel delivery experience who enjoys regular day work with a reputable transport operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 1 (Category C+E) flatbed HGV.
• Delivering steel products, including occasional overhanging loads.
• Safely strapping and securing loads in accordance with industry standards.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting.
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Working Monday to Friday with day shifts and no nights out.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV Licence.
• Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience delivering steel or operating flatbed trailers preferred.
• Confident using ratchet straps and load restraint equipment.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Professional, reliable and safety-focused.

Pay & Benefits

• £14.50 per hour PAYE.
• Overtime paid at £21.75 per hour.
• Weekly pay via BACS.
• Ongoing, regular work.
• Monday to Friday shifts.
