Warehouse Operative –  FLT Driver

Location: Middlewich, Cheshire

Pay Rate: £13.40 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00

Job Description

Driver Hire Crewe are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our client’s busy warehouse operation based in Middlewich.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and motivated individual looking for a long-term position, with the opportunity to secure permanent employment following a successful temporary period.

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for order picking using a laser-guided Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) truck, alongside supporting other day-to-day warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking and preparing orders using a laser-guided VNA truck (training provided).
• Operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required.
• Ensuring orders are picked accurately and within required timescales.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid Reach Truck or Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Experience operating VNA trucks or High Level Order Pickers (HLOP) would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to duties and working hours.

Working Hours & Pay

• Monday to Friday.
• 08:30 – 17:00 (some flexibility may be required depending on workload and training).
• £13.40 per hour.
• Full-time, ongoing work.
• Temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.
