🌙 FLT Counterbalance Driver – Nights | Bakery Production | Burnley

£14.50 per Hour | Monday to Thursday | Ongoing Work | Immediate Start Available

Driver Hire Blackburn is recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy and well-established bakery production facility in Burnley.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable forklift truck driver looking for regular night work with a long weekend every week. Working Monday to Thursday, you’ll play a key role in ensuring ingredients and finished bakery products are moved safely and efficiently throughout the production process.

🚜 The Role

As an FLT Counterbalance Driver, you will be responsible for supporting bakery operations by transporting ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products around the facility.

Duties will include:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Moving ingredients from storage areas to production lines.
• Transporting finished baked goods to refrigerated and chilled storage areas.
• Loading and unloading stock as required.
• Ensuring products are stored correctly and in line with food safety procedures.
• Assisting warehouse and production teams when required.
• Completing daily equipment checks and reporting defects.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety.

🕒 Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday
• Approximate start time: 5:00pm
• 12-hour shifts
• Ongoing work available
• Three-day weekend every week

✅ Requirements

• Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or equivalent).
• Previous experience operating a forklift truck in a warehouse, manufacturing or production environment.
• Comfortable working within chilled and refrigerated storage areas.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Previous food production or bakery experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
