Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting Driver’s Mates to join our team and support a variety of well-established clients across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible, ad-hoc work, with shifts available depending on client requirements and your availability.

🛠️ The Role

As a Driver’s Mate, your duties may include:

• Assisting the driver with deliveries and collections
• Loading and unloading goods
• Helping to safely move items to and from vehicles
• Assisting with multi-drop deliveries where required
• Completing delivery and collection duties as part of a two-person team
• Providing a professional and helpful service to customers
• Following all relevant health & safety procedures

The work can vary depending on the client and type of delivery, so no two days are necessarily the same!

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a Driver’s Mate, warehouse, delivery or manual handling role is beneficial but not essential
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Reliable and punctual
• Good attitude and willingness to work
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Flexible to work different shifts depending on client requirements

💷 Pay & Benefits

• £12.71 per hour PAYE
• £14.24 per hour PAYE Advanced
