Driver Hire Edinburgh City are recruiting experienced and reliable Van Drivers to support a range of well-established clients across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
Whether you’re looking for regular work or occasional shifts to fit around your current commitments, we have flexible opportunities available with competitive rates of pay and immediate starts.
🚚 The Role
- Driving a 3.5T van for a variety of delivery and collection work
- Completing local and regional deliveries to residential and commercial customers
- Loading and unloading goods where required
- Working independently or alongside a driver’s mate, depending on the assignment
- Following planned delivery routes and schedules
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Providing excellent customer service at every delivery
- Flexible shifts available, primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work
💷 Pay Rates
PAYE
- £13.00 per hour
- £17.32 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
- £14.57 per hour
- £19.42 per hour after 8 hours

✅ Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous van driving experience is essential
- Maximum of 9 penalty points
- No DD, DR, CD, DG or IN endorsements
- Comfortable with manual handling duties
- Reliable, professional and customer-focused attitude
- Good communication skills and a positive work ethic
