HGV Class 2 Driver – Crawley
£18.00 per hour | Flexible Work | Immediate Starts
Driver Hire Gatwick is currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to work from our client’s Horsham depot, collecting waste from residential homes and businesses, whilst being accompanied by two loaders.
The Role
- Collecting waste from residential homes and businesses
- Working as part of a 3 man crew, driving on a domestic or trade route
- Start times between 0530 – Finish
- Conducting daily vehicle checks in line with Health & Safety requirements
- Ensuring compliance with driver hours and road safety regulations
- Assisting with loading when required
About You
- At least 6 months of HGV 2 experience
- CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements: CD/IN/DR/TT)
- Able to operate vehicles safely and responsibly
- PPE required: Hi-Vis, Double Strapped Hi-Vis Trousers and Safety Boots
- Own transport required to commute to and from the depot
- Must comply with all on-site health and safety procedures
Location
- Horsham (drivers must live within 15 miles)
Pay & Benefits
- £18.00 per hour (Umbrella rate).
- Take home pay for 42h circa £575pw (depending on tax allowance)
- Triple pay on bank holidays
- Ongoing work and Temp to perm for the right candidate
- Weekly pay
