Driver Hire Darlington is currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to work on a long-term ongoing assignment operating a cement mixer vehicle for a leading construction materials supplier in the Darlington area.

The Role
As a Cement Mixer Driver, you will be responsible for delivering ready-mix concrete to a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential sites throughout the region.
Duties will include:
- Operating a Class 2 cement mixer vehicle safely and efficiently
- Delivering concrete to construction sites, building projects, and domestic customers
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Safely operating mixer controls and discharge equipment
- Ensuring loads are delivered within specified timescales
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Maintaining excellent customer service standards on site
- Following all health and safety procedures and transport regulations
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous cement mixer experience preferred, although training may be available for suitable Class 2 drivers
- Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
- Professional and safety-conscious attitude
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- No more than 6 penalty points for minor motoring offences
