Class 2 Driver

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and customer-focused driver seeking regular, ongoing work with the possibility of a long-term placement. You’ll be delivering a variety of drinks products to commercial customers across the region, representing both our client and Driver Hire Darlington with professionalism at all times.

The Role

• Multi-drop deliveries of drinks products to pubs, restaurants, hotels, clubs and other commercial premises
• Loading and unloading stock using appropriate equipment
• Carrying out vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on schedule
• Completing delivery paperwork and electronic records
• Building positive relationships with customers on delivery routes
• Adhering to all transport legislation, tachograph regulations and health & safety procedures

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 2 multi-drop delivery experience preferred
• Good level of physical fitness, as some handball and manual handling will be required
• Excellent customer service skills
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
• No more than 6 penalty points for minor motoring offences
