Driver Hire Gatwick are seeking a reliable a Class 2 Driver to join one of our well establish haulage clients in Crawley We have been fortunate to have placed many drivers with this particular client into permanent positions. Due to their increased expansion they are now looking for class 2 drivers to deliver palletised goods on their behalf. There is always a potential for drivers to be transferred onto a full time contract with them.
This is a Monday to Friday shift pattern, delivering from the Crawley depot. This is a perfect opportunity for you have ongoing work with the potential of a full time position depending on the clients needs and drivers performance.
To be considered for the role you will need the following:
- Full UK driving license with category C
- Up to date CPC qualification
- Tacho card
- A clean driving license or no more than 6 points and no major endorsements.
- A professional driving attitude with a customer focused attitude.
- Experience driving class 2 vehicles
- Good time keeping
Your day will involve:
- Delivering palletised goods to specific clients
- Daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects when required
- Safe driving and ensure safe loads.
- Completing delivery paperwork correctly
What you will receive:
- Ongoing work in a reputable haulage company
- Weekly pay (paid a week in hand)
- £18 per hour paid via Umbrella
- Excellent working conditions
As well as the above, to be considered for the role you will also be expected to attend site to complete a driver assessment. Once the assessment has been completed and passed, you will be put straight out to work the following day.
