Looking for driving work that fits around your lifestyle? Driver Hire Edinburgh West is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a variety of assignments across West Lothian.
Whether you’re looking for occasional shifts, additional income or regular part-time work, we have a range of opportunities available to suit different levels of availability.
Full-time hours may occasionally be available but cannot be guaranteed.
🚚 What You’ll Be Doing
Our assignments offer a variety of driving opportunities, including:
- Multi-drop and single-drop deliveries
- General haulage and pallet network work
- A–B vehicle movements
- Deliveries of steel, office furniture, food and drink, and construction materials
- Loading and unloading goods where required
- Completing daily vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
- Following transport, compliance and health & safety procedures
Enjoy the opportunity to work with different clients, vehicles and routes, with a variety of assignments available.
📋 What We’re Looking For
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 1 year’s Class 2 driving experience
- Maximum 6 penalty points – minor offences only
- No IN, DD, DR or CD endorsements
- Good understanding of drivers’ hours and transport legislation
- Reliable, professional and flexible attitude
- Good communication and customer service skills
💷 Pay Rates
- PAYE Basic: £14.50 per hour + holiday pay accrued
- PAYE Advanced: £16.25 per hour
