Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support a well-established client, with roles available across both East and West depot locations.

🕒 Working Patterns

📍 Edinburgh West – Flexible Ad Hoc Work

• Shifts offered on an as-and-when basis
• Typical start time: 7:00am
• Ideal for drivers seeking flexibility

📍 Edinburgh East – Full-Time Ongoing Role

• Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays
• Consistent 8:00am starts
• Ongoing work with long-term potential

➕ Additional shifts may be available across both depots depending on demand.

💰 Pay Rates

PAYE:

• £14.50 per hour
• £19.32 per hour (after 8 hours)

PAYE Advanced:

• £16.25 per hour
• £21.66 per hour (after 8 hours)

✅ Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift
✅ Weekly pay

🚚 The Role

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle completing multi-drop deliveries
• Working with a driver’s mate to assist with loading and unloading
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate records
• Providing a professional and friendly customer service

✅ Requirements

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Maximum 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Minimum 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience
