Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting for a dedicated Class 2 HGV Delivery Driver for our client, a leading Plastic Fabrication company
TEMPORARY TO PERMAMENT POSITION (opportunity to become a permanent employee after a 12 week period, subject to performance)
£35,000 to £36,000 per annum + yearly performance bonus
Monday to Friday 07:30 to 17:30
Duties:
- Safely and efficiently drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle in full compliance with UK road traffic laws, transport regulations and company policies
- Complete 10-15 scheduled customer deliveries and collections safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues promptly
- Ensure all goods are loaded correctly and securely strapped
- Complete all delivery notes, paperwork and electronic records accurately
- Deliver a professional, friendly and customer focused service at every delivery
- Safely load and unload goods, using appropriate equipment and manual handling procedures
- Maintain a clean, tidy and professional vehicle and ensure goods are handled with care throughout the delivery process
Requirements:
- UK Category C manual licence
- Max 6 points; no DR, DD, TT, IN or MS90
- Valid CPC and TACHO
- Aged 25+ for insurance
- Experience is preferred but not essential
- Professional with excellent customer service skills
- Reliability is essential
