Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support a well-established food delivery company on a 3-month contract across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
This is a great opportunity for drivers looking for consistent work over a fixed period, with competitive pay and the chance to gain valuable experience.

🕒 Working Patterns
- Ongoing work for a 3-month period
- Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts available
- Typical start times: 7:00am or 11:00am
- Full-time hours with potential overtime during busy periods
💰 Pay Rates
Monday to Friday:
- £14.50 per hour (PAYE)
- £16.25 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
Overtime (after 8 hours):
- £19.32 per hour (PAYE)
- £21.66 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
✅ Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift
✅ Weekly pay (holiday pay accrued unless PAYE Advanced selected)
🚚 The Role
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle delivering food products to customers
- Completing multi-drop deliveries across local routes
- Working with a driver’s mate to assist with loading and unloading
- Ensuring all goods are delivered safely and on time
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Providing a professional and friendly customer service
✅ Requirements
- Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused attitude
