Class 2 Driver – Ongoing Work – Darlington
We are currently recruiting a Class 2 Driver for ongoing work in Darlington with a well-established and respected UK logistics company. This role involves delivering furniture as part of a two-person team, providing a high level of customer service with every delivery.
Join a national logistics provider and become part of a friendly, professional team delivering garden furniture directly to customers’ homes. This is more than just a driving role – offering consistent work, structured shifts, and the opportunity for long-term employment.
Shifts & Schedule for a Class 2 Driver:
- Monday to Saturday (minimum 3 shifts per week)
- Start times between 1:00am – 5:00am
- A mix of overnight runs and long-distance work
Key Responsibilities for a Class 2 Driver:
- Safely and efficiently deliver goods to customers’ homes
- Work collaboratively with a driver’s mate as part of a 2-person crew
- Provide excellent customer service at every delivery point
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-organised
- Comply with all company policies and road transport regulations
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner
Experience and Qualifications for a Class 2 Driver:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Good communication skills and a strong team ethic
- Physically fit and willing to undertake manual handling
- A positive, customer-focused attitude
Pay & Benefits:
- £15.13 – £16.15 per hour (PAYE)
- Weekly pay
