Driver Hire Darlington is currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 Driver for ongoing supply work with a variety of well-established local businesses across Darlington and the surrounding areas.
This role involves multi-drop deliveries, offering varied and rewarding work with opportunities for ongoing assignments. Ideal for drivers who enjoy being on the road, delivering excellent customer service and working as part of a professional team.
The Role of a Class 2 Driver
- Multi-drop deliveries to commercial and residential customers
- Loading and unloading goods as required
- Completing daily vehicle checks and paperwork
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
- Representing both Driver Hire and our customers professionally
Requirements for a Class 2 Driver
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Previous multi-drop experience preferred
- Good geographical knowledge of the North East area
- Positive attitude and strong customer service skills
- No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences
