Driver Hire Blackburn is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Dray Drivers for ongoing work with a leading drinks distribution and brewery client in the Blackburn area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Class 2 Driver looking for regular work, competitive pay, and the chance to work with a well-established transport operation. The role involves the delivery of beer, wines, spirits, and soft drinks to pubs, clubs, restaurants, hotels, and licensed premises throughout Lancashire and the North West.

🚚 The Role

As a Class 2 Dray Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of keg, cask, and packaged products to customer premises.

Typical duties include:

• Driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
• Multi-drop deliveries to pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, and hospitality venues.
• Delivering kegs, casks, and packaged products.
• Working alongside a driver’s mate where required.
• Loading and unloading deliveries safely.
• Completing delivery paperwork and PODs.
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery point.

This is a physically active role, and applicants should be comfortable with manual handling and working in a fast-paced environment.

✅ What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of driver hours and transport regulations.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional approach.

Desirable

• Previous dray, brewery, drinks distribution, or multi-drop experience.
• Experience delivering to licensed premises.
• Good geographical knowledge of Lancashire and surrounding areas.
