Driver Hire is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers for ongoing work with a variety of local clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and professional drivers who are looking for regular work, competitive weekly pay, and the chance to work with well-established local businesses. Assignments can vary, giving you the opportunity to gain experience across different routes, customers, and delivery environments.
The Role
As a Class 2 HGV Driver, your duties may include:
Local and regional deliveries and collections
Driving a Class 2 vehicle safely and professionally
Completing daily vehicle checks
Bulk deliveries, with goods forklifted at either end
Ensuring paperwork and delivery notes are completed accurately
Providing excellent customer service while representing Driver Hire and our clients
Following all road transport, driver hours, and health and safety regulations
Start times are typically from 7:00am, depending on the client and assignment.

Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
A valid Category C / Class 2 HGV licence
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
Minimum 1 year’s Class 2 driving experience due to insurance requirements
Be aged 25 or over due to insurance requirements
Good knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations
A professional, reliable, and flexible approach
Good communication and customer service skills
