Driver Hire Edinburgh West is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers for a variety of assignments across West Lothian.
Want to pick up extra shifts, earn additional income or work around your existing commitments? We have a range of flexible driving opportunities available, with different clients, routes and types of work.
Full-time hours may occasionally be available but cannot be guaranteed.

📦 Types of Work
Assignments will vary depending on the client and may include:
- Trunking, single-drop and multi-drop deliveries
- General haulage and pallet network work
- A–B vehicle movements
- Loading and unloading goods where required
- Completing daily vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
- Following drivers’ hours, transport legislation and health & safety procedures
📋 What You’ll Need
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 1 year’s Class 1 driving experience – essential
- Maximum 6 penalty points – minor offences only
- No IN, DD, DR or CD endorsements
- Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and transport regulations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work
💷 Pay Rates
- PAYE Basic: £15.50 per hour + holiday pay accrued
- PAYE Advanced: £17.37 per hour
