Driver Hire Nottingham are currently recruiting for a Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join one of our well-established clients based in Grantham. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a professional removals company, offering ongoing work with competitive pay rates and a supportive working environment.
Whilst previous removals experience would be advantageous, it is not essential as full support will be provided. We are looking for reliable, customer-focused drivers who are happy to be hands-on and work as part of a team.
Working Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for completing removals for both residential and commercial customers throughout the UK. You will always be accompanied by a driver’s mate and will play a key role in ensuring customers receive a professional and efficient service.
Typical start times are between 6:00am and 7:00am.
Duties Will Include:
- Driving a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle safely and professionally
- Completing daily vehicle walk-round and safety checks
- Loading and unloading household and business items
- Assisting with the removal and transportation of furniture, equipment and personal belongings
- Working alongside a driver’s mate to complete removals efficiently
- Ensuring all paperwork and delivery documentation is completed accurately
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
- Following all road transport, health and safety, and company procedures
Pay & Benefits
- Assignment rates starting from £18.75 per hour
- £28.00 per hour overtime rate (paid daily after qualifying hours)
- £25 night out allowance when required
- Monday to Friday working pattern
- Support from the Driver Hire team throughout your assignment
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV Licence
- A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- The right to work in the UK
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to assist with the physical aspects of removals
