Driver Hire Darlington are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Drivers to work on a supply (agency) basis across a variety of well-known clients in the Darlington area.
This role offers flexible working to suit your lifestyle, with a mix of trunking, RDC work, and occasional store deliveries available.
The Role of a Class 1 Driver:
- Driving Class 1 (C+E) vehicles for a range of local clients
- Work includes trunking, pallet network deliveries and general haulage
- Minimal handball on most assignments, though some roles may require it
- Day shifts, night shifts, and occasional weekend work available
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Completing vehicle checks and relevant driving paperwork

Requirements for a Class 1 Driver:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Good understanding of driver hours and WTD regulations
- Professional, reliable and flexible attitude
- Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
- No more than 6 points on licence (no DR, IN, DD endorsements)
