Class 1 Drivers Wanted – Join a Leading Haulage Team!
Location: Southampton | Work Type: Ad Hoc (Mon–Fri) | Pay: Weekly (PAYE / PAYE Advanced)
Driver Hire Southampton is on the lookout for experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to support one of our top clients specialising in general haulage deliveries across the South Coast.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Driving a Class 1 curtain sider delivering palletised goods
- Covering local deliveries & collections across the South Coast
- Working 10–12 hour days, with start times between 5:00am–7:00am
- No manual handling – pallets are loaded/unloaded by forklift
- Following planned routes, completing paperwork, and staying in touch with the Transport Office
What We’re Looking For:
- Full UK Class 1 licence with valid CPC and Digi card
- At least 1 year of recent Class 1 driving experience
- Confident using curtain siders, strapping loads, and handling general haulage
- Good communication and timekeeping are essential
- Must have own transport to reach the site
- Able to carry out daily vehicle checks and keep accurate Tacho records
- A safe and professional attitude – always!
