Driver Hire Bridgwater is growing, and we are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join our award-winning office and team.
Following continued success across the region, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the next phase of our growth. You will take ownership of developing new business across Somerset, building strong local relationships and representing a trusted, nationally recognised brand with the personal service of a locally run office.
This is a consultative, relationship-led role suited to a commercially focused professional who enjoys meeting decision-makers, identifying opportunities, and developing long-term, high-value partnerships.
The Role – Strategic Business Development & Relationship Growth
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving regional growth through a solutions-based recruitment offering. You will deliver tailored workforce solutions across temporary and permanent roles, including training provision and licence compliance support.
Key responsibilities include:
Arranging face-to-face meetings to present our recruitment and training solutions
Leading business development activity across Somerset
Building and managing a high-value portfolio of regional clients
Conducting regular client meetings to strengthen relationships and uncover opportunities
Taking a consultative, solutions-led approach to understand client challenges and add genuine value
Driving revenue growth through account expansion, upselling, and cross-selling
Increasing Driver Hire’s brand presence and market penetration across key local sectors
This role is focused on quality conversations, long-term partnerships, and true commercial ownership.
About You
This role will suit you if you:
Are an experienced B2B sales or business development professional
Thrive in consultative, relationship-led selling environments
Are commercially astute and confident negotiating at senior level
Are comfortable managing pipelines, forecasts, and KPIs
Enjoy autonomy, accountability, and visibility
Want to make a tangible impact within a growing, high-performing business
Experience within recruitment, transport, logistics, or a service-led environment is highly desirable.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
