About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client in Exeter for an experienced HIAB Driver with Brick Grab experience to join their established and growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver seeking long-term employment with a reputable company supplying and delivering building, landscaping, and garden materials to both commercial and residential customers.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful probationary period.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a HIAB vehicle equipped with a Brick Grab attachment.
• Deliver building, landscaping, and garden materials to customers across the region.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently using HIAB equipment.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times.
• Complete delivery documentation and vehicle records accurately.
• Ensure loads are secured in accordance with transport regulations.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies, road traffic legislation, and company procedures.
• Keep vehicles clean, safe, and presentable.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Must have completed 90 days commercial HGV driving within in the last 6 months, for insurance purposes.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous HIAB qualification with Brick Grab attachment preferred, refresh training will be provided to the successful candidate.
• Demonstrable experience using HIAB remote-control systems for the safe operation of a Brick Grab attachment.
• Proven experience operating HIAB vehicles.
• Previous experience within a delivery or transport environment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
