The opportunity
Driver Hire Bridgwater & Taunton is looking for an ambitious, high-energy Branch Manager to lead our team, deliver challenging performance targets and support the continued growth of our award-winning business.
Our office has recently won several awards and continues to achieve strong growth. We are now looking for a confident and commercially focused manager to take responsibility for the branch’s day-to-day performance while the businesses new site focuses and expands into new areas.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on management role with ambitious targets. You must be comfortable leading from the front, holding people accountable and getting directly involved with clients and candidates.
Key responsibilities
Lead, motivate and develop the branch team
Ensure the branch consistently achieves its KPIs and commercial targets
Drive sales and business-development activity across the branch territory
Monitor CRM activity and ensure all calls, visits and follow-ups are completed
Maintain excellent recruitment, compliance and customer-service standards
Set clear expectations and effectively manage team performance
Produce accurate and up-to-date performance reports
Meet clients and candidates to build strong, long-term relationships
Communicate confidently with high-value clients daily
Resolve complex commercial, operational and customer-service issues
Work closely with the business owners to drive regional growth
Support the wider team and get involved wherever required
What we are looking for
The successful applicant must have:
A minimum of four years’ management experience
Proven experience directly managing and developing employees
Strong leadership and line-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A high level of energy, ambition and commercial focus
Experience setting, monitoring and achieving team targets
Confidence dealing with high-value clients and resolving complex issues
Excellent attention to detail and accurate reporting skills
Strong IT skills
Confidence using CRM and reporting systems
The ability to remain organised and decisive in a fast-paced environment
A willingness to lead from the front and support the team directly
Previous recruitment or staffing-sector experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
This position could suit an experienced recruitment professional ready to take their next step into branch management, or an accomplished manager who wants to join an award-winning business with ambitious plans for growth.
