We are currently recruiting experienced 7.5T HGV Drivers on behalf of our client, a well-established food wholesale supplier, to join their busy transport team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and customer-focused driver looking for ongoing work with competitive rates of pay.
The Role
As a 7.5T Driver, you will be responsible for delivering food products to customers across the South West. Deliveries are primarily caged deliveries, with occasional trunk runs when required.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Completing multi-drop deliveries across the South West.
- Loading and unloading caged deliveries safely.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks.
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations.
- Ensuring all delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
- Complying with all road transport legislation and company health and safety procedures.
- Completing occasional trunking duties as required.
Working Pattern
This role operates on a rotating shift pattern:
- Week 1: 6 working days
- Week 2: 4 working days
Please note:
- You must be available to work Fridays and Saturdays.
- Start times will vary between 5:00am and 7:00am.
- Finish times are dependent on the daily workload, so flexibility is essential.
Pay Rates
- Monday to Friday: £17.93 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
- Saturday: £23.39 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
Other PAYE pay models are available.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A valid UK 7.5T (Category C1) Driving Licence.
- A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience is preferred.
- A good understanding of drivers’ hours and working time regulations.
- A positive attitude, excellent time management skills, and a strong customer service focus.
