Martin Nutter had a pleasant surprise when he popped into Driver Hire’s Stockport office recently.
Along with instructions for his next driving assignment, Martin was presented with a picnic hamper stuffed full of goodies including cheese, wine and other posh nosh.
Martin who’s a category C goods vehicle driver was the winner of the 2015 ‘Proud to be Driver Hire’ prize draw survey. Issued during December last year, the results were published in January. It was sent to all the candidates on the books at Driver Hire’s 104 office nationwide network.
Respondents were asked whether they felt proud to work for Driver Hire and if they recommend it to a friend. Martin was amongst the 1,000 plus drivers to complete and return the survey, 95% of whom confirmed that they were, indeed, proud to be part of Driver Hire’s team of drivers.
“I’ve been working as a temp for Driver Hire Stockport for two years,” says Martin. “During that time I got a permanent job, but I preferred temping with Driver Hire. They keep me busy, I get a wide variety of work and I like the flexibility of being a temp.”
Michael Connaughton who, along with wife Nicol, is the owner of Driver Hire Stockport added: “I’m really pleased for Martin. He’s a great guy and does a good job representing our brand wherever we send him to work. We’re proud that he’s on our books!”
