It’s been a busy year for Driver Hire’s franchise sales team, with eight new franchisees now settled into Driver Hire’s nationwide network.
“This is a great time to invest, if you’re looking for a new direction in your career,” says Graham Duckworth, Driver Hire’s Franchise Sales Director. “Buying a Driver Hire franchise is a fantastic opportunity to run your own business with the support and guidance of the franchisor and your fellow franchisees.”

Tim and Fiona Hennah were new to recruitment when they bought Driver Hire Leeds West – a well-established office – in 2021. Tim had worked in travel and Fiona was a nurse. Prior to taking over they both attended Driver Hire’s two-week induction course.
“We really valued the support of fellow franchisees in the early days,” Fiona recalls. “Tim and I are really motivated people so we’re loving the direct rewards from all our hard work. Our turnover is currently 36% up, so we couldn’t be happier.”
Tom Williams joined Driver Hire Plymouth as an apprentice, straight from school. Over six years he learnt how to run a successful business and then, when he established Driver Hire Torbay as a greenfield site, became Driver Hire’s youngest ever franchisee aged just 22.

It’s the best decision I have ever made, we got away to a flying start

“It’s the best decision I ever made,” says Tom. “We’ve made a flying start – in fact I’m looking to pass the £1m mark in the next financial year. My office location is one key factor in my success. Looking after candidates and upskilling them is another. What’s great about being your own boss is making your own decisions.”
Graham Duckworth adds: “Driver Hire is listed as one of Elite Franchise’s top 10 best UK franchises. Our outstanding support package ensures that whatever business background you come from, running a Driver Hire franchise could work for you.”
